The "Elder" card

 Being desi means playing the card of being older to others and pretending that just because they are elders they are always right.

I'm sorry if it triggers anybody BUT JUST BECAUSE YOU ARE OLDER THAN OTHERS DOESN'T MEAN YOU ARE ALWAYS RIGHT.

Now let's unwrap this, generally in our society elders are given respect and they should be for sure, but this obsession that also elders have to force their decisions on others is beyond sane thinking.

And that is also a type of generational trauma, when you are disregarded as a kid, and your opinion is not given two cents, you get wired to treat your younger ones like that as well. 

Also, we live in a male dominant society so generally and usually more thought is given to those male figures of the household, again no issues with that, but they can be wrong as well, gone are the times when only men use to make the decisions, when the goal is to make the right decision any sane men would opt to discuss it with his partner and his family before making the decision
