How I saved $$$ on my wedding

 I had one goal at my wedding, not to go overboard with clothes and jewelry and only get those things which I will actually end up using as well.

Starting with my wedding dresses for both barat and reception, I got them online. The barat dress was from Mohsin Naveed Ranjha and the reception dress was from Azure.

MNR (Mohsin Naveed Ranjha) is a high end luxury brand but almost all of these brands have specific products available with reasonable rates. I saw Naimal Khawar Khan promoting a dress from them and I fell in love, and ordered it right away. My friends and family were a little skeptical about it but when it arrived I fell in love with it. Dress including the stitching, laces and lining costed around 80-90k

My reception dress was from Azure, it was the perfect blend of beautiful pastel color and minimal embroidery and hand work which was exactly what I was looking for because I wanted to rewear all my bridal dresses. The dress including the stitching and lining costed around 35-45k, which I’m so proud of.

For the formals I opted for the ones with light handwork, did not buy a single heavy formal because I knew I won’t be wearing those. Also, I opted for Paradise market in saddar to buy all the formals because the rates there are much more reasonable than Tariq road and they customize your outfit at good rates as well.

For the jewelry, I went to the Boltan market because again prices there are unmatched, I wanted a heavy kundan bridal set for my barat and those were costing a leg and an arm from Tariq road. Not only did I get what I was looking for at reasonable rates from Boltan market but I was also able to customize it according to my own liking.

For other casual jewelry and clutches I went for standard colors only, golden, silver and black and trust me I’m still using those after more than a year and they are still good as new.
