Working Women

Being a working woman myself I have faced tremendous challenges, maybe not while I was single but it's a whole different story when you are committed. The constant juggling of proving yourself competent than others, not just men but single, reachable women as well. And I can't even think about working mothers, it was hard enough as a married working woman I don't know how working mothers handle it all and kudos to each and every one of those who do.

Speaking of which, the lack of remote working options available to females in the country is the biggest issue. I had the chance and privilege to leave and I did, but what about those who don’t want to leave but also don't want to miss the precious moments with their loved ones.

Organizations in Pakistan think and believe that those asking for WFH are incompetent, not to mention a lot of mothers end up losing their jobs after having babies because an employee who is not a mother is much more reliable.

Working mothers, whether they are working from home or office are the most hard working employees an organization can ever have and that’s the fact, motherhood equips them with the essential and most important skills like multitasking, working under stress and quick response.

And due to lack of availability of more remote jobs thousands of women end up not working at all, and FYI remote work is not easy, it's easier than traveling to work everyday for 2 hrs an wasting time, but it's still not easy being a working women along with being a mother.
