Self care tips that actually work

  As the new year begins, one of my priorities and goals is to take care of myself. See, self care is not just about fancy mani pedis and facials that put a dent to your wallet, although they sound quite nice and that is basically the only thing we see online in the name of self care. Self care is not just about taking care of yourself but it’s about reconnecting with your true self and recharging it. One thing I learnt last year is that you will never disappoint spending time on yourself and by yourself. So start off, taking care of myself means taking GOOD care of my mental health. For that purpose, journaling and meditation have been my best friends recently. Obviously there are a lot of other options like exercising, yoga, pilates and anything that gives you two things (a) peace of mind and (b) opportunity to vent and release negative energy.
